Funerals attended by many dignitaries or other persons of high standing call for a different approach. The receipt and placing of these invited guests require a different procedure. The Protocolbureau’s effort is particularly focused on preventing full attention being paid to these VIPs rather than the family. In preparation the Protocolbureau advises on classifying the guests. In execution the Protocolbureau together with its ushers takes care of the receipt and placing of all the invited guests. This service is an addition to that of the undertaker’s business.
