Protocol

The European monarchies have used protocol for centuries to organise meetings with dignitaries. In essence it is a sophisticated method to manage attention. In that sense, protocol is still rendering good service in the 21st century. The more careful attention is managed, the more likely it is that the meeting will be successful.

The Protocolbureau has the expertise and the contacts to support and organise a meeting with a member of the Royal Family or other dignitaries. The Protocolbureau is frequently called in at formal and ceremonial events.

The Protocolbureau translates your objective into a worthy celebration, award giving ceremony, farewell reception, gala or conference:

  • Which protocol applies to a meeting with dignitaries?
  • Who sits where? What seating arrangement needs to be made?
  • Which other dignitaries will you invite? How will you contact these functionaries?
  • How to address? What rules for titles will be applied?
  • Who is the host and who are the co-hosts? How are the (co-)hosts prepared for this meeting?
  • How do you see to it that the conversations will pass within the time span?

Collaboration with the own protocol experts
The Protocolbureau is also often called in to support the own protocol experts at peak moments:

  • The chief of protocol concentrates on the guests of honour.
  • The Protocolbureau offers support for the other invited guests.
