The bureau
How to obtain the best possible return from your network?
Our vision on relationship management provides the answer to this question. Historic protocol, as developed by European monarchies over the centuries, has been transformed into a contemporary version of relationship management.
The Protocolbureau is a consultant in strategic networking. The bureau plans and develops relationship events and official events for companies and governmental organisations. Our protocol officers provide assistance at these events as hosts, ushers, liaison officers, masters of ceremonies, coordinators or organisers.
The Institute of Protocol The Hague trains students and course participants to become professionals in relationship management. The courses and training combine an understanding of strategic networking with applied diplomacy, contemporary protocol management and modern organisational methods. Participants are diplomats, event organisers, marketing and communication managers, customer relationship managers and protocol staff.
In the year 1995
The Protocolbureau was established by students of the The Hague Hotel Management School in 1995. Their motive was the need to gain experience in hospitality up to the highest level. They did so by organizing lectures and working as hosts at (business) meetings. The first lecture was delivered by the former Master of Ceremonies of Her Majesty the Queen, and the first assignment was to present the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Awards.
The Protocolbureau has a Supervisory Board consisting of representatives of the business community, the Diplomatic Corps and education sector management.
