Henrik de Groot (1947) retired in 2005 as Director of Protocol of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands. His previously positions include Chef de Cabinet of the Lord Mayor of The Hague and deputy director-general of the Royal Theatre at The Hague.
He is the author of the successful handbook Protocol; a standard work in the Netherlands. Henrik de Groot works for the Netherlands Governmental Academy, the Netherlands Institute for Foreign Relations Clingendael and the EU Academy for Disaster Management.
